Work on game-like midrange shooting in this Two Dribble Pullup Progression drill from Strength N Motion International Co-Founder and FIBA Certified Coach, Step 3 George "Gee" Gervin Jr., son of NBA Hall of Famer George "Iceman" Gervin. Check out the full progression in the video below!

Two Dribble pullup progression

This workout features 5 drill progressions:

  1. Elbow to Elbow Pullup Jumpers
  2. Two Ball Pounds: alternating pounds, two hand pounds, side to side pounds. All to half court and back
  3. Elbow to Baseline Pullup Jumpers
  4. Two Ball Handles: alternate hands back and forth, together back and forth. All to half court and back
  5. Opposite Elbow to Baseline Pullup Jumpers

Finish the workout off with some free throws.

"We would really like to work on getting the ball down in two dribbles," says Gervin. "Maybe you're coming off a pick & roll, maybe it's for rhythm, but right now we're just focusing on two dribbles into our pullup shot."

Strength N Motion international seeks to provide opportunity and encouragement for young student athletes to reach their fullest potential. Through values such as character, teamwork, discipline, respect and sportsmanship, they instill life lessons, pride and leadership.
