Basketball Drills: Pound Step-Back Drill with Ryan Razooky

Our partner and elite skills trainer Ryan Razooky  demonstrates a great pound step-back drill focused on creating space from your defender for an open shot! Check out the video below for the full demonstration.


It is important to remain patient and relax before going into a hard dribble for your step-back to throw off your defender and create space. As you go into your pound step-back, have your opposite foot from the ball forward, push hard off of it in the opposite direction to create space. After creating space from your defender, pull up into your shot.
