Basketball Drills: Side Pick & Roll with Joe Abunassar

IMPACT Basketball founder and top NBA trainer Joe Abunassar introduces a great Pick & Roll drill to work on being interchangeable as a screener or ball-handler in a game-like action.

Side Pick & roll

1. Ball-handler begins on wing, screener starts top of the key
2. Screener sets screen at the wing
3. Ball-handler comes off screen and attacks basket for layup or floater
4. Screener pops to corner for a three-pointer

"Try to get the defender leaning," says Abunassar. "That initial approach is very important, it can't just be 'start with the screen'. Play it game like."
