Basketball Drills: Warm Up Progression with Dimitri Lauwers

In this progression from former European pro and current Skills Trainer Dimitri Lauwers, work on ballhandling, passing, and shooting as you warm up for a practice or game.

The passer moves from elbow-to-elbow with midrange shooters along the baseline.

  1. Two-Handed Pass
  2. One-Handed Pass (outside hand)
  3. One-Handed Pass (inside hand)
  4. In & Out Ballhandling
  5. One-Hand Reaction
  6. Two-Ball Dribble, One-Hand Pass
  7. Two-Ball Dribble, Crossover Pass

"One thing about international basketball, it's all about fundamentals," says Lauwers. "Ballhandling, passing, shooting, knowing where you are on the court."
