3-Point Transition Shooting with Coach Tony Miller

In Coach Tony Miller's 11th Dr. Dish Drill of the week, he demonstrates a great drill to work on conditioning and 3-point shooting. Check out the full breakdown below!

With team’s shooting more and more long-range shots, players are spacing to the 3-point line, even in transition.

In addition to the conditioning component of this drill, coaches also can teach players to stay wide in transition then “reward” them with a shot to finish.


3-Point Shooting Drill:

  • On the pass out from the Dish to the coach, player begin their sprint wide and to the deep corner.
  • Coach passes to the player for a catch-and-shoot 3.
