Now that the season is here, it can be challenging to fit everything you need to into the few practices your team has each week. In this drill, players will focus on changing pace and improving their mid-range shots.
Players will receive a pass from the Dr. Dish at the top of the key and alternative between a dribble pull up at the right elbow, then the left. be sure to set a clear goal for your team whether it's aiming to hit a a certain amount of shots or taking a specific amount of shots in a limited time frame.
In this drill, players will work on an explosive first step and finishing mid-range shots.
Players will first receive a pass from the Dr. Dish at the right of left wing. Then, they will go into a dribble pull up near the free throw line. After all players have rotated through, they will then run over to the opposite wing and repeat. For added urgency, set a specific goal of taken or made shots.
