In this Dr. Dish drill, Coach Tony Miller demonstrates a great offensive drill to work on ghost screens. Check out the full breakdown below!
A popular offensive action in college basketball is the ghost screen. Instead of actually screening for the ball-handler, the screen sprints away from the ball, creating separation from his defender. The results is a long closeout from his defender and a relatively open look from 3.
Ghost screen drill
- In this drill, Player 1 receives a pass from the Dish.
- Player 3 will jog to the ball and then sprint away from the ball-handler.
- Player 1 then throws a pass back to Player 3 who will shoot a wing 3.Want more from Coach Tony Miller?
