Duke Finishing Drill: Catch, Rip, Attack

Written by Nick Bartlett | Oct 7, 2019 7:02:51 PM
In this drill, Coach Sam Miller of Duke University demonstrates how to use the Dr. Dish CT shooting machine  away from the basket to simulate multiple game-like actions and finish with a shot at the rim.

First, the drill starts with a down screen. As the player catches the ball at the wing, the original screener closes out. The player with the ball sweeps low and attacks the basket.

Check it out in action!

There are virtually unlimited ways to finish from a one foot layup, two foot layup, reverse layup, floater, etc. You can even have a defender at the rim contesting the finish.

Give this drill a try in your team workouts/practices!
