Pro Basketball Workout: Game-Like Preparation with David Hicks

Written by Nick Bartlett | Oct 12, 2018 2:53:34 PM

It was great having one of our good friends and pro basketball player, David Hicks come by the Dish Lab recently to put in some work! You can check out a previous workout with David from two years ago in the Dish Lab here.

Originally from Minnesota, in college David played for Long Island University and helped lead the team to an NCAA appearance in 2011. Since then he's played professionally in many countries and has spent some time playing in the NBA G League as well.

During this workout, we primarily used the Dr. Dish All-Star machine away from the basket to simulate where he would actually receive passes in a game. Coach Mason put him through a multitude of different game-like scenarios and he finished with volume shooting to lock in his form.

Check out the workout below!

We'd like to thank David again for stopping by and giving us the chance to showcase how to best utilize the Dr. Dish All-Star in many different ways! We're very fortunate to work with a player of his caliber and look forward to continue following his success of his basketball career.
