Creighton University Men's Head Basketball Coach, Greg McDermott shares a drill for teams to add to their routine focused on transition 3-point shooting from multiple areas on the floor. Check out the full breakdown in the video below!

 

The bluejays take pride in their ability to knock down 3-point shots off of transition. Achieving this level of precision requires relentless practice, as many teams tend to avoid taking transition 3-pointers due to their inherent difficulty. For Creighton, however, these situations are viewed as prime opportunities.

  • Split into two lines: passing and shooting lines on the wing and lane line extended.
  • The Dish passes the ball to the passing line while the lane line extended player sprints to the corner for a shot.
  • Players switch between the lines for 1 minute.
  • Repeat the same process at the top of the key and the opposite corner for 1 minute each.
  • Goal: 72 makes
