Basketball Drill of the Week: Jab Series with Bre Salley

Written by Emily Stiemsma | Aug 30, 2018 8:53:52 PM

We are pleased to welcome Bre Salley back to the Dish Lab to showcase a few of her go-to drills. In this drill of the week, Bre uses the Dr. Dish All-Star away from the basket; showcasing it's patent swivel net technology to finish at the hoop and get a shot off, all while working on attacking the defender intently.

Coach Salley explains this drill using dummy defense, so keep in mind if you want to incorporate more players that you could always add in defense at both the 1st and 2nd pass locations to make this more game like!

To program this drill on your Dr. Dish All-Star set it up on the top of the key facing the hoop, straight. Program the Dish using the perimeters below (you can change this based on preferences).

Locations: 5, 15
Balls Per Location: 1
Tempo: 7

Don't forget to adjust the passing distance lever to your liking. Once that is set up, start with one of her jab finishes, rebound the ball into the Dish, and hustle to the other side for a jump shot.

Coach Salley, former Division 1 and professional player, now serves as the Senior Basketball Academy Coordinator for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx. We are excited to have officially partnered with her so she will be a big part of our content moving forward.

Stay tuned!
