There is a long standing debate within the basketball community regarding which state produces the highest level high school basketball players and competition. And with the season right around the corner, we thought it would be the perfect time to give you our rankings!
There is no perfect way to rank these because of how much talent has come from every corner of the United States, but we based this heavily upon how many Division 1 and Professional players come from high schools in each state. We also listed active notable players from each one.
Note: Many high-level players are born in one state and then attend prep high school in another. We are ranking this based upon which high school they go to, not which state they are from.
