John Townsend

John Townsend has been a shooting coach for the past 32 years. Throughout those years, John has worked all over the world (6 different continents) with players of all levels. During Coach Townsend's three decades of work he has coached over 500 professional players, 150 of which were in the NBA. Amid 17 seasons of professional coaching, John has coached in more than 1,000 NBA games for four NBA teams; the Portland Trail Blazers, Toronto Raptors, Memphis Grizzlies, and Philadelphia 76ers. During 12 seasons in the NBA, Townsend coached 16 NBA All-Stars, five #1 Picks, 3 NBA 3 Point Champions, and NBA Rookies of the Year (ROY). In the midst of John's career, he invented two basketball shooting aids, the Str8 Shooter, and the Shooting Tee.
