Basketball Team Drills: Louisville X Out Jumpers
by Nick Bartlett, on Feb 25, 2020 2:43:10 PM
This is a great team shooting and rebounding drill from Coach Sam Purcell of Louisville Women's Basketball program using the Dr. Dish CT training machine.
In this drill, Coach Purcell puts the Dr. Dish machine at the top of the key to deliver a game location pass to the wing. Note: Dr. Dish is the ONLY brand of shooting machine designed with a swivel net for game-like passes on the perimeter. We suggest a tempo of around 10 OR use the remote control feature to choose when to pass.
Check it out in action below!
After the initial cut and pass, the shooters will execute 3 different shots:
1. Catch and shoot
2. Catch, rip, pull up on the baseline
3. Catch, jab, attack and pull up middle
This drill is perfect for 3 players and the players will rotate positions after each shot. As Coach Purcell mentions, it's a great drill for shooting, conditioning, and rebounding!
