by Nick Bartlett, on Dec 21, 2020 9:25:51 AM
Our partner Jordan Lawley breaks down a great ball handling progression called Lunge Ball Manipulation. This drill focuses on balance and manipulating the ball in the air. Check out the full demonstration in the video below!
Lunge Ball Manipulation
- The drill starts with players in a controlled lunge stance. Balancing weight between the back and lead leg.
- Next, players will manipulate the ball over their lead leg.
- Then players will work on manipulating the ball over their lead leg and crossing the ball back between the legs.
- Players will do this move for 30 seconds with the right leg in front and 30 seconds with the left leg in the front.
While we sell basketball shooting machines at Dr. Dish and place an emphasis on shooting drills, we are dedicated to helping build complete players through many different drills such as ball handling!
Alongside our countless shooting drills in our Dr. Dish app and Training Management System, you can find many non-shooting drills including ball handling, agility, and conditioning progressions as well.
