Our partnership with Pure Sweat Basketball is one of our favorites as we love incorporating their top-notch basketball training principles into Dr. Dish drills and workouts to make them more efficient.
This past summer we were fortunate to have one of Pure Sweat's top trainers, Jordan Delp, join us in the Dish Lab to demonstrate multiple drills and how to utilize the Dr. Dish All-Star to execute them.
In this video and breakdown, Jordan goes through a great progression on the Flare action and shows 4 different options off of the catch.
The Flare screen is a common action that you'll find at many different levels. It involves setting up the defender and performing a misdirection to create an open look.
This is a great progression to execute on Dr. Dish with a partner or if you have a Coach/Parent as the passer.
While the Flare is often effective to get an open shot, it is a difficult action to get your feet set and on balance. Use this progression in your next shooting workout and make it as game-like as possible so that it translates and you'll be ready come game time.
We want to thank Jordan again for stopping by and sharing his knowledge with us at Dr. Dish. Stay tuned for more videos coming!
