In Coach Tony Miller's 3rd Dr. Dish Drill of the week, he illustrates an excellent 47-point shooting drill utilizing Dr. Dish shooting machines. Check it out below!
The 47-point shooting drill is a favorite of my players. Players can use the drill to compete against themselves, working to beat their personal best. Or, players in small group workouts can compete against each other for top score.
Frame 1: The player takes 1 catch-and-shoot three from each of the 5 spots (each made basket is worth 3 points).
Frame 2: At each of the 5 spots, the player catches a pass from the Dish, shot fakes, uses an escape dribble to the left, and shoots (each made basket is worth 3 points).
Frame 3: At each of the 5 spots, the player catches a pass from the Dish, shot fakes, uses an escape dribble to the right, and shoots (each made basket is worth 3 points).
Frame 4: The player shoots two free throws to finish (each made basket is worth 1 point).
There are a possible 47 points.
