Basketball Drills: Attack & Escape with Moris Hadzija

In this drill from FIBA Certified Trainer and Ratiopharm Ulm Player Development Coach Moris Hadzija, work on creating space off the dribble and getting into a midrange jump shot.



Before the drill, set up four cones. One just outside of each elbow and one just outside of each block.

Attack & Escape

  • Player receives the dish pass in the corner and attacks toward the block
  • Player retreats, keeping dribble, and attacks toward the elbow
  • Player retreats again and attacks toward the free throw line for a jumpshot
