Basketball Drills: Louisville 3 Second Spot Shots
by Nick Bartlett, on Sep 16, 2019 6:45:51 AM
In this video, Coach Sam Purcell of Louisville Women's Basketball breaks down a great drill on the Dr. Dish CT basketball shooting machine that combines footwork with a few different game like shots.
The drill starts with a baseline run into a jump shot, followed by a backpedal into a transition 3 pointer on the wing, into a defensive slide on the sideline into a catch and shoot jump shot around the elbow area.
Check it out below!
This is a great drill to focus on game-like shots off the move, fatigue, balance and mixes in different shots within the same drill.
We suggest a pass tempo of 3-5 depending on the level of player, but make sure to push yourself to go game speed at all times. Essentially, you're looking to get a pass/shot every three seconds.
