It's always great having Timberwolves and Lynx Senior Basketball Academy Coordinator, Bre Salley, in the Dish Lab to showcase her favorite fundamentals and drills with the NEW Dr. Dish CT machine.
In this video, Bre focuses on a commonly overlooked fundamental: The Pass Fake.
While dribble moves may be more flashy, the pass fake can be incredibly effective if used in the correct situations. Oftentimes, this involves a closeout situation where the defense is scrambling. A simple pass fake can create space and an opportunity for the player to score.
Check out the full breakdown below to see how you can work on the pass fake while training on Dr. Dish!
As one can see in the video, coaches and players are able to build in multiple drills to create a complete workout on the Dr. Dish CT machine. These drills don't always need to be shooting drills either! Coach Salley mixes in a great two-ball ball handling drill in the workout as well to work on becoming a better complete player.
As always, it's essential to focus on the fundamentals and do your best to execute every rep with attention to detail in order to build proper habits. How you train and practice will ultimately be how you play in game situations.
Use this workout and incorporate the pass fake into your game!
