Basketball Drills: Push Cross Workout with DJ Sackmann
by Nick Bartlett, on Aug 12, 2019 12:48:27 PM
In this basketball shooting workout on the Dr. Dish CT, our partner and elite skills trainer DJ Sackmann demonstrates how to execute the Push Crossover.
This move is especially great when attacking downhill and can be used when snaking a ball screen. In these situations, it'll be tough to execute a low crossover while maintaining momentum going downhill.
Check it out below!
Here, in the first progression, DJ starts in a stationary position and uses a cone to help with accountability of getting the ball outside the middle of your body on the push action. After the 2nd dribble he executes the push crossover and covers as much ground downhill and laterally as possible.
In the 2nd progression, DJ translates into a more game like situation where he starts by attacking downhill.
Give this a try and make sure you work on both hands.
You can find the full workout in the Dr. Dish app, Training Management System, and on the Dr. Dish CT touchscreen.
