The season is over and the promise of next season is bringing coaches and players back to the gym ready to get better. Off season skill development is of the utmost importance and developing post skills is often overlooked. With the help of Dr. Dish, here are four basketball shooting drills that can help give you the edge in your off season training.
This post workout is designed to get your post players a tremendous amount of quality reps from the low block. Drill is designed for each post player to work on their best low post move and counter to that move.
This Dr. Dish shooting drill is designed to work on a post player’s ability to seal the defense on a swing pass and receive a lob/post entry for a score.
This drill is designed for a complete post player workout. The low post can work on specific moves from the block while the high post can work on shots from the high post, dribble attack or high low passing.
This drill is designed to get low post reps for post players and wing 3 point shot attempts for guards. Post players should alternate duck in moves and lob seals.
