by Tony Miller, on Oct 9, 2020 9:35:15 AM
In Coach Tony Miller's 14th Dr. Dish Drill of the week, he demonstrates a great team shooting drill called star shooting. Star shooting combines conditioning and shooting into one quick drill! Check out the full breakdown of this drill below.
With the basketball season just around the corner (hopefully), players should be gradually increasing their fitness levels in order to be “game ready.” This star shooting drill is a great way to combine conditioning and shooting into one quick drill.
Check out the video breakdown below!
Star Shooting
- The player will start in the corner and receive a pass from the Dish.
- After shooting, he will run to the opposite wing for a shot.
- Then the Player moves on to spot 3, then 4, and finally 5.
- Adjust the speed of the passes as well as the number of total shots (for example, 5, 10, 15 or 20) to increase conditioning.
