In this Dr. Dish Drill of the week, Coach Tony Miller breaks down a great team shooting drill to simulate shooting under defensive pressure. Check out the full breakdown below!
A lot of times, players will use shooting machines in simple catch-and-shoot scenarios. However, it’s important to practice against some degree of defensive pressure in order to create more game-like scenarios.
Player 1 receives a pass from the Dish.
After catching the pass, Player 1 will immediately pass down to Player 2.
On the pass, Player 3 will closeout to the shooter.
Player 2 will catch and shoot under pressure.
