In this team basketball shooting drill Coach Mason breaks down a great zone offense simulation focused on getting players to their spots and knocking down shots at game speed. Coach Mason utilizes the Dr. Dish CT shooting machine to carry out this drill.
Check out the full video breakdown below!
Zone Flash & Kick:
- There will be three lines simulating player positions: top of the key, and free throw line extended at the three point line.
- The first pass is to the player at the top of the key from the Dr. Dish CT.
- The player then passes the ball to the right side wing player.
- As the right side receives the pass, the opposite wing player will immediately sprint in for the flash in the middle of the lane, and catch the pass from the right wing player.
- Then the player in the lane will look opposite as the player at the top of the key floats out to the left wing to receive a pass from the player in the middle and shoot.
- Finally to finish out the drill as the player on the left wing side shoots, the player on the right moves to the top of the key to receive a pass and shoot.
- Players will then rotate and repeat the same steps.
