Here at Dr. Dish Basketball, we are grateful to help support 2x Emmy-Award winning basketball commentator and Women's Basketball Hall of Famer Debbie Antonelli and her 24 Hours of Nothing But Net event! In its 5th year, this remarkable challenge helps raise money for Special Olympics.
Every year Debbie Antonelli dedicates 24 hours to shooting free throws for a great cause. She aims to make 100 free throws every hour, ending the day with 2400 made free throws!
Since Debbie started this challenge 5 years ago, she has raised over $635,000 for the Special Olympics! With the goal of $200,000 this year. Although her playing career is over, Debbie hasn't lost any free throw shooting touch. Staying locked in and shooting over 93% during last years challenge.
We are proud to announce that anyone who donates will be entered for a chance to win a Dr. Dish Home!
Debbie's middle son Frankie is a Special Olympics athlete and the inspiration for this challenge. Donations from all over the country flood in to support them and Special Olympics athletes everywhere! Viewers can watch Debbie take on this challenge live on the Youtube Channel 24 Hours Nothing But Net. Debbie is starting at noon on Saturday, May 13th, 2023. Finishing with 2400 made free throws on Sunday, May 14th.
