A majority of high school and college basketball programs are realizing that their old shooting machine is way past its prime physically, and technologically. If you’re looking to upgrade your team’s shooting gun from the 90s to a modern, innovative solution like Dr. Dish, our Trade-In Program is for you.
Not only does the Dr. Dish Trade-In Program save you money, it also gets your team the best shooting machine on the market, and takes care of your old one too. Here are 4 things you didn’t know about our Trade-In Program plus tips for how you can get started right now.
1. We Take The Gun® by Shoot-a-Way as a Trade-In
Whether it’s a 6k, 8k, 10k, or 12k basketball shooting gun, we will take any of The Gun® models as trade-ins! And if it’s not in the best condition or has been collecting dust in storage, that’s ok-we will still take it even if it’s not working.
I’m ready to trade-in our Gun. What should I do?
Simply fill out the Dr. Dish Trade-In Program form and select that you’re trading in a competitor shooting gun. Then, you’ll instantly qualify for up to $4,000 off your brand new Dr. Dish. Your new Dr. Dish will ship out in our fast 3-5 business day timeline and we will take your old Gun off your hands at no extra charge.
2. We Take Any Dr. Dish as a Trade-In

Get up to $4,000 off your brand new Dr. Dish and receive our 5-year All-parts Warranty- that even includes your net. We are proud to offer the most extensive warranty in the game so your team can keep training for seasons to come.
3. Trade-In Any Machine, In Any Condition
No matter what brand of basketball shooting machine you currently have (Dr. Dish or The Gun®), we will take it as a trade-in. The best part? It does not even have to be working. If a physical part of your missing is broken or missing, we will take it, and you’ll get your exclusive discount. If your machine won’t rotate or even turn on, we will take it, and you’ll still get our Trade-In Program discount!
Why? Because our #1 goal is to help you get the best shooting machine for your team in your gym as quickly and easily as possible.
4. Utilizing the Dr. Dish Trade-In Program is the Best Decision You’ll Make
Coaches everywhere are taking advantage of our Trade-In Program because it’s easy, and it’s a no brainer decision. Hear from Kimball High School Girls Basketball Head Coach, Jeremy Kuechle, on making the switch from The Gun® to Dr. Dish, and why his team couldn’t be happier.
And Coach Kuechle isn’t the only one. Here are what other coaches say about making the switch:
“Dr. Dish is by far superior! The quality of the machine is unmatched and the programs are excellent. We can set up quickly and easily. Very easy to maneuver to the gym from storage. Customer service is always there for a quick response. Would recommend for any level!”
- Coach Monica H.
“Getting rid of our old Guns and getting a Dr. Dish CT+ back in our gym was at the top of my priority list. The CT+ offers so much more. With stat tracking and game modes, it makes training more engaging and fun, motivating our players to get up extra shots and improve their game.”
- Coach Greg S.
“Switching to Dr. Dish was a no brainer decision. The CT+ allows players to get up a ton of shots in a short amount of time. It’s incredibly durable, easy to set up, and there are a variety of workouts. Dr. Dish is perfect for our team because it makes training and shooting convenient!”
- Coach Dave A.
