Congratulations to our partner Cameron Brink and the USA Women's FIBA 3x3 world cup team for bringing home the gold! The tournament started May, 30th and ended June, 4th in Vienna, Austria. Team USA dethroned France, winning 16-12 in the gold medal game. Checkout the highlights below! FIBA 3x3 is a fun and interesting game with rule changes from standard 5v5 basketball. For starters, the game is 10 minutes long with stops for deadballs and free throw shooting. The first team to score 21 points or more wins the game. Any shot outside of the 3pt line is worth 2 points, scoring anywhere inside the 3pt arc is worth 1 point, as well as free throws being worth 1 point.

Dr. Dish partner and college basketball star Cameron Brink played a key role on the gold medal team. Along with Cameron the team included Hailey Van Lith, Cierra Burdick and Linnae Harper. Cameron averaged 4.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks through 8 games, giving her all on both sides of the ball. Cameron continues to impress, walking away with tournament MVP in her first FIBA 3x3 appearance. 

Team USA celebrated their victory and new hardware to take home. They earned the spot to compete in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Team USA looks to continue there strong defensive efforts, holding their final two opponents to only 12 points in both games. 

We here at Dr. Dish are very grateful to have the opportunity to work with Cameron. As well being very excited to see what she has in store for the future. Going into her senior year Cameron is projected to become a top pick in a talent-loaded 2024 WNBA Draft.
