9 Tips to Master Travel Basketball and Skills Training
Balancing competitive AAU basketball play and summer offseason training requires careful planning to ensure that players develop specific skills while remaining competitive. The issue is often time, so how can you ensure that you are dedicating enough time to both competitive play and skills training? Check out our tips below.
Here are some strategies to achieve a good balance between AAU and Skills training:
1. Structured Schedule
- Design a Weekly Plan: Map out a weekly schedule that includes specific days for AAU practices and games, as well as designated times for individual skill training.
- Rest and Recovery: Ensure there are rest days or lighter training days to prevent burnout and overuse injuries.
2. Skill-Focused Workouts
