Dr. Dish x RBA Showcase

Dr. Dish Basketball recently had the opportunity to participate in the RBA showcase during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. This event featured top players from around the world competing in front of NBA and Overseas executives. We also had the opportunity to sit down and chat with Mark Smith and Pedro Bradshaw about their current training efforts as well as their future career plans.

The event itself was held at Impact Basketball which is owned and operated by NBA trainer, Joe Abunassar. Joe’s gym has state of the art equipment for strength training and basketball training including the Dr. Dish CT+. Players had the opportunity to warm up and shoot on the Dr. Dish machine before getting into full court and game actions drills.

During the event, NBA and overseas executives took notes, scouted, and also connected with agents regarding the players participating in the upcoming season. Many of these players have signed contracts with teams in Europe, China, and Australia but also have NBA opt-out clauses that would allow them to take advantage of a potential NBA opportunity. 

One of the main highlights was the excitement of players using the state of the art equipment like Dr. Dish to get ready for this high level event. The amount of shots quadrupled, and players definitely showed they were more confident by making a ton of shots throughout the event. For many of the players, Dr. Dish has become an integral part in their training program!
