Coach Dave Paulsen has been coaching college basketball for over 20 years. He has had success at each stop along his coaching journey and is currently in his second season with George Mason University (full bio here). Coach Paulsen is extremely excited for this year and has hopes to compete for the A-10 title this season. Importance of Accountability
Accountability is an essential piece that each basketball team must have in order to be successful at any level. Dr. Dish Basketball has taken the time to address accountability and incorporate it heavily into our shooting machines. After speaking to Coach Paulsen of George Mason, we confirmed the importance of training accountability throughout the season.
"We wanted to make sure we gave the players the opportunity to efficiently train before, during, and after practice. We also wanted to make sure the players were getting quality game-like shots up. Having the mobile app, advanced analytics, and training goals increases the accountability within our program year-round." - Coach Dave Paulsen
At every level of basketball accountability can be an issue. Coaches are limited with their interaction with players and it's oftentimes hard to motivate and track player success, especially when a coach is not around. Most high school and college programs create workouts or have shot clubs they send out to players during the summer. It's tough to accurately monitor and track the success of these players and this can lead to inefficiency in training during the off season.
Here at Dr. Dish, we decided to really take on the accountability piece and we created the Dr. Dish Pro and All-Star shooting machine that do just that. Players and coaches can track 2pt, 3pt, and free throw percentage by location and can view real-time numbers from their mobile app which they can share.
